From: ksb on 9 May 2007 16:41 Installed 931832. Broke OWA. Recieve HTTP 1.1/ 503 Service not available message. Uninstalled 931832. OWA works fine. Exchange 2003 sp2 fully patched. 1 front end, 1 back end. Anyone else have this problem with the patch? Thanks
From: Susan on 9 May 2007 16:47 I applied it to two of my servers last night, with no issue...OWA is fine...are you certain all of the required services got restarted after you installed the patch? anything interesting in your application event log? -- Susan Conkey [MVP] "ksb" <ksb(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:64D41F31-02B9-4998-B629-2E4BC39FAA3E(a)microsoft.com... > Installed 931832. From: ksb on 9 May 2007 17:15 I checked the services, all fine. Checked the stores, all mounted. Did not see any errors in the logs. Ugh! From: tim_allen on 11 May 2007 01:48 I lost a server to this patch... Installed fine and rebooted, about 30 minutes later it blue screened, event viewer reported a queued error sometime after restarting: Reporting queued error: faulting application inetinfo.exe, version 6.0.3790.1830, faulting module febecfg.dll, version 6.5.7638.1, fault address 0x00002312. Has anyone else seen this behavior? I'm assuming febecfg has something to do with front end/backend configuration? The server that died was an RPC/HTTP backend. From: m_n_x on 11 May 2007 09:12 After applying the hotfix I got exactly the same problem. I patched the front ends first, no problem. Once the back end was patched it broke. Connecting directly to the back end for OWA continues to work so it seems to be a problem with the pass through to the back end. I've contacted PSS, they are currently clueless. I'll post if they turn anything up. "ksb" wrote: > Installed 931832. Broke OWA. Recieve HTTP 1.1/ 503 Service not available > message. Uninstalled 931832. OWA works fine.
