When I was inside my Acer Aspire One (different model, however), the battery was soldered to the motherboard, AND the motherboard had to be removed because it was on the bottom of the motherboard. I would consider returning it without the hard drive if the drive is removable without disassembly. Most laptop makers (not all) will allow that. It's not a given that it won't be repaired but you are making too much out of the difference between getting your unit repaired vs. swapped. CJB wrote: > > Now the damn thng has to go back.
