From: Joan Archer on 6 Jan 2008 10:00 I bet if you click it though it will tell you there are no updates. I'm not sure about upgrading to Ad-Aware 2007. It annoys me a little bit that the program requires the installation of an XP service. The only thing Ad-Aware has ever found on my PC is tracking cookies.
From: Joan Archer on 6 Jan 2008 16:09 That is the last update for the SE version I think although there has been another for the 2007 version. Support for the SE version ended at the end of the year. It usually only finds tracking cookies on mine as well but at least it's nice to know I can scan with it just in case something does sneak past <g> Joan "History Fan" <UnknownplacesonEarth(a)unknown11.com> wrote in message news:847c5$4781308b$483111ec$13215(a)FUSE.NET... > "Joan Archer" <archer_joan(a)nospam.com> wrote in message > news:4780e143$0$26035$88260bb3(a)free.teranews.com... >>I bet if you click it though it will tell you there are no updates. >> Joan >> >> "History Fan" <UnknownplacesonEarth(a)unknown11.com> wrote in message >> news:723e$47800034$483111ec$7729(a)FUSE.NET... >>> "Lance" <lhill(a)suc.edu> wrote in message >>> news:flml5v$rbu$1(a)gist.usc.edu... >>>> I'm guessing Lavasoft has turned off the "Check for updates now" link >>>> you see in the Ad-Aware application itself. >>>> >>> >>> I'm using Ad-Aware SE and that link is still available in the >>> program. >>> > > > The latest definitions I have are December 27, 2007.
