From: Otto Pylot on 1 Apr 2010 22:20 I just performed the last update to 10.6.3 along with the Airport Utility update to 5.5.1 on my MacBook. I have an Airport Base Station Extreme, about a year old, that works great (even with my Dell). However, after the Airport Utility update, Airport Utility doesn't see my AEBS. It says no Airport devices are in range but I'm connected solidly to the 5GHz frequency. I haven't used the Utility since I setup my AEBS so I'm not sure if I'm missing something or not. It was fairly straightforward if I remember correctly. Advice? Thanks. -- Deja Moo: I've seen this bullshit before. My address has been anti-spammed. Not sure what is going on in your case, but the latest Airport Utility is working fine for me (though I'm still on 10.6.2), with similar age Airport Extreme and Airport Express. You don't need to do anything special - just run Airport Utility and it should list all Airport base stations on the network. If you can't see anything, there may be a problem with Bonjour. Get hold of Bonjour Browser and see what it reports. I see a category "Ariport Base Station" with 2 entries. You could also try installing the Windows version of Airport Utility on your Dell and see whether it can access your base station. It is possible that the issue could be with the base station advertising its availability via Bonjour rather than your computer(s) being able to receive that information. -- David Empson dempson(a)actrix.gen.nz

Thanks. It works now. I just power-cycled the AEBS and Airport Utility sees it now. Not sure why. -- Deja Moo: I've seen this bullshit before. My address has been anti-spammed.
