I have used http://keepvid.com/ for a long time to download YouTube
clips. This service now appears to have gone $$ware. I've looked at
the free YouTube Downloader Version 2.5.3 at http://youtubedownload.altervista.org/
and it looks pretty good,

Any other suggestions? I think one that can appear as a context menu
in IE8 would be an advantage.

thanks
Brian

There are many. 'Wasbit' posted a list of 45 download managers here, on
04 February 2010.

I use Orbit. This downloads many file formats - videos, PDFs, DOCs,
installation EXEs etc.

Firefox has an add-on called Video Download Helper.

Keep-Tube is an online video capturer. Not an add-on or software but free
and effective.

I thought I had posted a list (but I can't seem to find it) so perhaps I didn't.

Brian I tried to email you after your kind comments, even though you use mailinator.
Perhaps you could email me [Removethis]wasbit(at)hotmail(dot)co

I use
Vdownloader - http://vdownloader.com/
