From: Jay Bala on 23 May 2010 00:09 Another approach to redefine length and time. I like this version better. In base 10: (x*e^x)/(ln(x))=10^10 ----------- eq.1 Above equation has two real number solutions for different units or unities. 1) x = 1 (at asymptotic limit) 2) x = 21.0917 (very good approximation) Now whats this... WIth this we can define the unit of length and the unit of time at rest. Lets make this more nicer: (exact) x = Length of hydrogen line in a vacuum e^x*10^9 = wavelength of Hydrogen Line in a vacuum ln(x)*10*10= speed of light in a vacuum (approx) length = 21.0917 cm or one unit be equal to hydrogen line. frequency = 1.4455 x 10^9 Hz equal to wavelength of the Hydrogen line. speed = 3.0487 x 10^10 cm/s or units/s. If above units are taken as the basic units, then 1=1x1 The eq.1 yields: 1) The unity of all unities: 1 (one of the two solutions) 2) unit of length (the other solution) 3) unit of time 4) speed of light is in many ways a unity. 5) Hydrogen atom is a unity, too. Yes, my speed of light is a bit "faster." I don't think it would trip anyone over in the light... except some physicists... Regards, Jay Bala. |
