I would like to put my Mrs, and my own phone on a single contract,
which allows them to share any free minutes/texts.

Does anyone in the UK do this ?

This is a domestic, not commercial requirement.

I used to have my wife on the same contract with an Orange talkshare
tariff, I don't think they do anything similar anymore. I know that 3
give you 2000 3to3 minutes per month if you take a second phone.

Unfortunately that doesn't exist.

Orange still offer 'Your Group' - if you have more than one phone on
the same billing account you can join them in a Your Group and get
unlimited free calls between members of the group. Not what you
wanted I know but in case it's something of use if you went with
Orange.

I had that couple of years ago when 3 had short 6 month contracts
I had a pair of 300 M&M 6 month contracts and 3 included 2000
3to3 mins lasting the length of the contract

I now use 3Pay with it's 5000 3to3 mins valid for 3 months.
You have to be very brave or stupid to tell the Mrs (as i did) that she
has 5000 mins for the next 3 months to call you with ;-(

Such things do exist but are rarely good value for just two phones.

If most of your calls are to each other then look for a family account,
or group account - each network calls it something different.
