From: Gavin on 11 Oct 2009 15:44 The latest one that is: http://www.apple.com/uk/displays/ As I move forward trying to make the desktop experiance for me even better Im seriously considering one of these, but before I shell out over 600 sheets on a display, is there any reason why not to? Im guessing that Im never going to be able to hook a server/ PC to the display if I ever have to in the future (is It possible to get a MiniDisplay port video card for PC's?) I dont mind the screen being glossy, as its gonna be in my study, but is it going to be too limited and are there better options? -- Gavin. That one is an old TN film panel [1], cheapy cheap. See http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/panelsearch.htm whereas the Apple uses a 24"WS LG.Display H-IPS (LM240WU6-SDA1) Can't actually find the LG screen using the same panel, but don't expect change out of 400 [1] For the record 24"WS LG.Display or AU Optronics TN Film -- Jon B Above email address IS valid. <http://www.bramley-computers.co.uk/> Apple Laptop Repairs.

The `technical information sheet' on that page says it's 1920x1080, and so does the LG web site. The Apple LED display is 1920x1200. b. -- <bas(a)bas.me.uk> <URL:http://bas.me.uk/> `...the Plain English Campaign [...] says some officials only use Latin to make themselves feel important.
