You mean a sucker for you? 'Cause if you weren't a troll, instead of
just adding noise to the discussion, you'd answer J.F. Mezei's, a
devoted Mac Pro owner, question about the hardware of the Mac Mini.

You'd explain that the Mini is indeed restricted to "laptop" hardware,
because it really is a laptop with the screen, the keyboard and the
touchpad removed. The only thing that hasn't been removed is anything to
the price tag. So its price is in line with that of other Mac computers.

Now, this would have been a valid contribution. But when do trools
contribute?

You misspelled "trolls."

Speaking of morons like Paul B JF Mezel-Mattewson, it's my
understanding that Google groups no longer has a killfile function.
How do you block messages from trolls like this (or these, considering
the multiple personalities)?

One uses a real news client.

Speaking of Linux, I bought a Samsung netbook, which is really a
pretty nice little machine, to use when travelling. I wanted
something that, if stolen, would be cheap enough that the loss
wouldn't bother me and it wouldn't have any information on it that I
wanted protected.

It came with Windows-7, so I installed Ubuntu Linux in a second
partition. I just returned from a 16-day trip using the netbook and
Ubuntu for mail and news reading. All I can say for Ubuntu is that
it's pretty and for Linux is that it mostly works, but the
newsreader was slowly going chaotic and becoming unusable. I was so
happy to return to OS X and OS/2 when I got home.

(The Win 7 partition is useful because the only software Garmin
supplies for my GPS runs only on Windows. Jerks. Never buy a Garmin
product.)

Incidentally, I don't have to worry about viruses in OS/2 either.
