My router will do QoS, it's just a fairly high-end domestic (but older)
Dlink gaming router. I can assign my "incoming" bandwidth any way I
want. I've never used it. Most decent routers these days have this
function.

And on that note, I see it is a new feature in Transmit 4.0, though I

I wish Apple would fix it so that one is not required to be logged in to
an admin account to get update notifications. I almost never log in to
my admin account and so don't get the notifications.

Is there any way to hack a fix on my own?
