From: Mal_Ice on 22 Feb 2010 04:38 To help reduce the growing size of a PST file or Exchange folder, it would be a great help if there was functionality similar to that of DetachPipe, which can be set up with rules to manage attachments. These rules allow the one-click detaching of any attachment to a location on the PC or network, and whose directory's name can be defined through the rules (i.e. sender name, subject, etc), and the original email is amended to insert at the top of the email a link to the location of the attachment. The mail is still flagged as having an attachment. Using the DetachPipe option I reduced my PST from 1.7Gb (yes 1.7Gb) to 400MB. It makes for easier backups and a faster Outlook. http://www.detachpipe.com/ I do not work for nor have any affiliation with DetachPipe. I just loved the functionality and had hoped it may have been in BCM which I recently installed for the first time.
