Anybody got a link to a libmp3lame*.tgz download?

Try http://repository.slacky.eu/slackware-12.2/multimedia/lame/3.98.2
(note, haven't tried this myself, just found it thru google).
libmp3lame is included in the lame package.

Ah. Then I've got another problem. I've got lame installed, but just
getting hissing from Audacious with mp3s.

audacious 1.5.1 plugins 1.5.1 lame 3.98.2

Time for a fiddling about session I think.

Any "You wanna do this..." advice welcome.
