From: (PeteCresswell) on 19 Nov 2009 17:30 Avast freebie version running on user's PC. Avast Windows Home Server version running on WSH box. User is reading email. The freebie version of Avast detects a virus in an email's attachment. The misguided user clicks "Ignore" in the Avast prompt and proceeds to save the infected attachment to a Windows Home Server share. I'm guessing the Windows Home Server version of Avast catches it. But then what? Another prompt? If so, can that user ignore the server Avast's prompt too and infect the server? -- PeteCresswell |
