From: gbaker on 15 Nov 2007 18:36 I just (stupidly) installed this update on my HP DV6000 and it has screwed not only my display, but my USB as well. If anybody figures out how to back this one out I'd love to hear about it! -- gbaker ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gbaker's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/member.php?userid=35139 View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=853247 http://forums.techarena.in
From: superraccoon on 15 Nov 2007 18:49 Had the same problem. Fortunately, the solution is fairly simple: Go to device manager, open 'System Devices', right-click on the offending driver and select 'Uninstall'. Marvel as dozens of drivers will stop working... but Windows re-installs them without much of a problem, and - in my case - after 2 restarts, the situation was back to normal. Hope this helps! -- superraccoon ------------------------------------------------------------------------ superraccoon's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/member.php?userid=35140 View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=853247 http://forums.techarena.in

From: Dan on 15 Nov 2007 19:28 Go to Device Manager, open the “System devices” node, then right click and Uninstall the “3GIO Filter Driver”. Make sure you click the “Delete the driver from your system” checkbox. After a few restarts the correct drivers should be back in use. Not all installation fail! I got VIA chip-set and this driver is fitting. My old clunker (custom build Prescott 3.4, 8GB RAM, *) loves this driver. I install driver only if it is applicable. andrejmart -- andrejmart ------------------------------------------------------------------------ andrejmart's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/member.php?userid=35143 View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=853247 http://forums.techarena.in |
