From: Jaimie Vandenbergh on 18 Mar 2010 17:42 And it really is rather wonderful - once I enabled right-click, and then added MagicPrefs so I could get a middle-click and an alt-tab tap, anyway. It's pointlessly limited before that, however pretty. It'll never work for anyone who likes to rest their palm on their mouse and moves from the elbow, but to those who use their fingertips it's a joy. Strangely, I've discovered that both I and SWMBO lift our left finger when right-clicking (though not the other way around) so it works perfectly. I spent the first day or so trying to use it as a trackpad, but I think I've got over that now. It is a *little* expensive. But the 27" i5 iMac that came free with it in the box is pretty good too. It's pointlessly limited before that, however pretty. When we tried it at the Applestore during the ucsm works outing, when I found that you *still* can't program any of the 'buttons' to double click, I gave up on it. Pity, becasue I think it's a really nice thing. But when my Logitech mice give up, it'll have to be Logitech replacements. -- Peter

Pity, becasue I think it's a really nice thing. MagicPrefs will allow you to set up left-doubleclick on any action available - I guess it would be on right-click for you? Works fine. >But when my Logitech mice give up, it'll have to be Logitech >replacements. My lovely Logitech with the fancy clicky/freewheel action is sat on the shelf now... it was supplanted very quickly! The wireless keyboard that also came with the i5 was instantly reallocated to the TV Mini, I've been wanting to do that for some time now. Cheers - Jaimie -- "You know how dumb the average person is? Works fine. MagicPrefs is presumably the bundled prefpane? Excellent- in that case I'll give it a try. The only problem is that Anne (who has 10.5.8 on her MBP) wouldn't want to use it. The *second* only problem is that I don't think my iG5 has Bluetooth. 'No information found' in System Profiler. Ah well. Back to Logitech. -- Peter
