What features are you looking for that Transmit doesn't provide?

I was wondering just this. I used for years on OS 9 and it looked
like much much more than I ever needed. It was very good. But CB
is good too, at least on Tiger it is.

What is wrong with the one built onto the OS-X gui ?

In finder: Menu-> GO -> Connect to server

specify ftp://ip.ad.dre.ss , then endter username/passsowrd and you have
a finder window and can play with files as if they were local.

It doesn't work on all remote FTP servers though. (I think it assumes a
unix file system at the other end). For those servers that are not
supported, you can you ftp at the command line and that works.

I'm a Firefox user so I use an add-on for Firefox called FireFTP.

Even on unix servers there are hiccups like files appear to be
locked that are not reported locked on Cyberduck, lots of warning
notices come up when you try to actually open the files on these
servers etc... But it is not a bad idea JF for having a quick
look at what is on the servers.
