If you just want to get by, don't on any account use jpg. Use TIFF or (if you have Photoshop or a program that understands the PS format) save for Photoshop. At least with TIFF you can edit without loss of quality in the normal sense of working with an image file. You can export to PDF or whatever from your "make-do" master TIFF copy. -- dorayme
