I had a Sanyo quite similar to that Commodore portable (5897), but with
twin vertical disk drives.

That Superbrain reminded me of the TRS-80 Model III I used to program
cash registers in the early 80s. I really had no sense of the big
picture back then - computers were exciting and fun, but I was too
stupid to see trends. I had one of the first IBM-PCs at work,
phenomenally expensive, but no idea that they would become such a
dominant system. I remember the feeling when I first met a Lisa, and
then took a Macintosh back to my hotel room overnight (whoar). I knew
then that I simply must have one of these incredible machines.

That 40's Digital Clock looks really steampunk.

Me too. I made an offer that was, basically, the contents of my wallet
including credit cards, but they were oddly unforthcoming.

I don't think they believed me...

You must have been standing next to me :-)

http://www.dropbox.com/gallery/2842974/1/Bletchley%20Park%2020100619?h=6d019f

It was a real walk down memory lane... I saw an example of more or less
every computer I've owned or enjoyed using: an Apple II, an original
Mac, a PowerBook 180, an Amstrad 1512, a Sinclair QL (working unlike my
old pile of junk), an Acorn 3010 (a lovely computer), loads of BBC
micros, a DEC MicroVAX(!), a PDP11, an Apple Lisa (if I could only get
my hands on one of these), a surprising number of Commodore PETs, even
old calculators (my old Sinclair Cambridge - well, not exactly mine,
you understand, but one just like it), and so on.

The Enigma and Lorenz exhibits were very good. I have to say that BP in
general is a huge improvement over the way it was when I first went
there 7 or 8 eight years ago. They've put a lot of work in and spruced
it up a lot. They could still do more I think, but money must be a big
issue.

They actually have a GCHQ exhibit now, with a peculiar photo showing an
Enigma machine morphing into a PowerBook. What *can* they mean by that?

There was a marquee there today that was something to do with a local
radio club.

The Atari with the wooden trim, so classy, it brings a tear to my eye. An
iphone networked app of Tanks is surely now long overdue.
