I ran spitfire, rg, telegard, dominion, tribbs, and had an account on a cnet amiga system which later allowed limited internet functionality; but you dialed out with procom, telex, qmodem, etc first. Some boards do allow access via telnet, I've got an account on several; but this isn't how things originally were. Don't bother trying to educate me again on bbses, fuckwit, I've not only ran some major packages, I wrote a couple of packages too. -- I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Damn it!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voicemail. What did you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?

I think you can drop the 'savant' part of the phrase. More accurate that way.

Your ignorance is making you look like an idiot again. Before "the net" there were things like FIDO, RIME, and "quick" style echo- mail... all of which facilitated private, point to point messaging *without* any sort of internet connection at all. Welcome to your nightmare, idiot. :)
