From: Chris Macnamara on 18 Mar 2010 13:15 I'm going to Vegas for a few days in October, and would like to be able to use my O2 locked iPhone 3G similarly to how I use it here in the UK, ie web, maps, facebook, but not much in the way of calls or text. Can I get a PAYG sim, or something similar so I don't end up with a 100 data bill, like I did aftefr 3 days in Barcelona? I appreciate I will need to have my iPhone unlocked somehow? Thanks in advance Chris

Why bother? When in Vegas, just turn the rest of the world off. That's how that amazing place works!! :-) Enjoy it (can't you go for more than a few days?) -- Adrian C
From: mrcamp on 18 Mar 2010 18:15 There are many places with free WiFi in the US. Your hotel and pretty much all the public places in Vegas will have free WiFi. So, that will not be an issue. But if you venture into remote areas, it will not be as abundant. You can get an AT&T sim and get the data option. I can't remember how much the package is. Just check their website. Cheers Adrian, maybe that's not a bad plan?? Going for 6 nights, so I expect I'll be exhausted by the end. Chris

I wouldn't know, but might be worth seeing what the wifi options might be since Vegas is heavily built-up. Delegates to shows like CES must use them. Or maybe they don't provide them because that might be too much of a distraction from the gambling? Theo |
