What is this ButtonManager? I've done some searching and found nothing yet
it shows as a login item...

Anytime I've seen something with a name like that, it's been part of a
scanner driver package, to allow the buttons on a scanner to function.

Google and Yahoo. There were a couple of discussions which came up but none
made any sense which is why I posted here...

I know on the Windows side I have a scanner installed but maybe something is
left over on the Mac side when I was attempting to get it working. Thought I
dumped all of that but will take a look again.

Thanks, at least it's somewhere to start. I was kinda worried that it might
have been something that shouldn't be there or could do some sort of damage
to other apps...

Knowing Dave as I do and the way he worded the question, he had already
done a Google search, immediately come up with an answer to your
question, and wondered why you couldn't have done the same.

Since it's my turn to play good cop, I'll tell you that doing that
search, the second listing says, "CNQL1208_ButtonManager and
CNQL2405_ButtonManager They're both for a Canon LiDE 50 and the scanning
software..."

So, it's for a Canon scanner.
