From: Franc Walter on 22 May 2007 09:34 Hello, i had the problem, that i couldn't connect anymore to a windows server 2003 with remote desktop using the console (trying mstsc /console and tsmmc.msc from the w2k3s tools) i had the error: Error connecting to existing session for Administrator (Id 0) The operation completed sucessfully. in german: Herstellen der Verbindung bei der Anmeldung fehlgeschlagen Fehler beim Herstellen einer Verbindung mit der vorhandenen Sitzung für Administrator (Id 0).Der Vorgang wurde erfolgreich beendet. (Which is funny because 'successfully' is not the right word :-) If i connect without the /console switch, it works. After searching a while i found a good link: http://groups.google.de/group/microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs/browse_frm/thread/898934dc87dc8c8/5d128445a502a54d Following that it was working again, after i restarted the Windows server 2003 (by a present friend) and (he) logged directly in with this Administrator account. After that i could log in again remotely with console. The problem was surely caused by UltraVNC, which i installed before. But even after uninstalling VNC, the problem was there till i did like discribed above. Yours, franc

But i was happy too early, because after a reboot (due to the actual Windows Server 2003 Update) i had the same error again! I rebooted before without problem. And now i can even not login anymore without console due to licence lacking, but i have two connections available and there is no other connected (even not any snoring connection). But i have a Dos-box with SSH, so maybe someone could tell me how to get back the console session by commandline? I tried already to reboot (with shutdown -r -f), but no effect to the lost session. Any help would be very appreciated! Thank you, franc |
