I do it all the time. I don't recall doing anything special to set it
up, and don't see anything about it in SS's preferences.

Drop a copy of the file in SS's "exchange" folder (whatever you named
it), switch to OS X, and take it out.

Well, I just tried it between BBEdit (in SS), and TextWrangler (in OS X
Leopard). Yes, it worked. Perhaps some other document formats, such as
images, might not work, though. I recall having problems getting
drawings made in SS to show up properly in OS X, but it's been a while,
and I don't recall the details.

But the method I mentioned always works to transfer the file.

Then just paste to SimpleText and copy from there.
