No Harvard built in but looks customisable to the extent I need, thanks.

Not very good at cataloguing though (can't seem to fnd DOIs for example), but this would have been good if I was starting out. Rob

I've got thousands of PDFs and it's going to be too much to catalogue them all. Thanks anyway. Rob

It's a while since I set it up (and it's V10 so the current version might be different) but I think there was a Harvard preset which needed to be customised to fit in with a particular institution's take on 'Harvard'. Bookends now seems to integrate quite nicely with Delicious Library and DevonThink which could be handy for me. I was mainly using Bookends with Mellel whose respective developers seem to collaborate on integrating the two programs; I think it's slightly more clunky with Word. Stuart -- cut that out to reply

No short cuts with a 300 page manual ;-) I can't go changing word processors - it is clunky with Word, but drag/drop seems OK. At the moment, Papers seems to do what I need most quickly and at least cost: import documents fairly painlessly, export references to Word's built in manager, then add an XML to the Word package so they're formatted correctly. Several bizarre results, but it seems along the right lines. Rob |
