Has anyone had any luck with a references/citation manager? I need
something to catalogue masses of PDF files, have a decent stab at
extracting the metadata, and have the ability to export/work within a
word processor, preferably Word for compatibility reasons.

And, and this seems to be the killer, work using the Harvard system.
Papers would have been good if it wasn't for this.

Thanks, Rob

The Harvard system is completely disgusting, but can't Endnote do most
of what you want to do?

Endnote is fairly disgusting, maybe try Bookends.

Zotero? It's a firefox extension, but it also has plugins for Word and
OpenOffice. Me likes it lots!
