Hi I wouldn't think so. However, it takes time for the updates to filter through especially as I'm sure everyone is busy with RC2 issues. Then again, they may just backport the updates through. -- Cheers Malcolm (Linux Counter #276890) SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 (x86_64) Kernel 2.6.32.13-0.4-default up 1 day 14:36, 4 users, load average: 0.17, 0.08, 0.02 GPU GeForce 8600 GTS Silent - Driver Version: 256.35

There's always a choice: compile it yourself, add one of the many home projects[0] from the build service that build it, or add the build service security repository: <http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/security/openSUSE_11.2> which has ClamAV 0.96.1, along with many other security related tools. [0] Using the software search seems to default to not showing home projects. However, after enabling the home projects under the search options, this link shows all the projects building ClamAV: <http://software.opensuse.org/search?q=clamav&baseproject=openSUSE%3A11.2&lang=en&exclude_debug=true> Regards, David Bolt -- Team Acorn: www.distributed.net openSUSE 11.0 32b | | | openSUSE 11.3RC1 32b | openSUSE 11.1 64b | openSUSE 11.2 64b | TOS 4.02 | openSUSE 11.1 PPC | RISC OS 4.02 | RISC OS 3.11

When the security updates repository has the update, then why does the Updates repository not have it? Can I just install the version from security updates repository over the default one without risking future problems? Or do I need to remove the existing one first? What happens with the config files?

Hi You can look at the spec file and see the conf file is set to noreplace, so you should be fine <https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file?file=clamav.spec&package=clamav&project=security> It's also in 11.2 Update Test, so it should come through at some point <https://build.opensuse.org/package/files?package=clamav&project=openSUSE%3A11.2%3AUpdate%3ATest> -- Cheers Malcolm (Linux Counter #276890) openSUSE 11.3 (i586) Kernel 2.6.34-12-desktop up 16:41, 4 users, load average: 0.15, 0.07, 0.07 ASUS eeePC 1000HE ATOM N280 1.66GHz | GPU Mobile 945GM/GMS/GME

I don't want to risk manually installing a package that later comes as an automatic update. |
