OK

if you can get your PC to "see" the drive in disk management

there is hope that your utility can recover your lost data

You will not be able to find the files using a filesystem
driver because the hard drive has been formatted. You will
probably now need to have the filesystem driver loaded on
the PC and to use a recovery type program that scans the
drive for files and recovers them to a different drive.

If it were only a deleted file, that is a different
situation than having the hard drive become corrupt and then
be formatted. I do not know anything abou this UFS explorer
program, but the above is what I think the problem is.

As another person suggested, see if Disk Management in
Windows shows an existing partition, and if it sees a
filesystem it recognizes.

You might also download the hard drive manufacturer's
diagnostics program and check the drive with that, but do
not have it do write testing if that is one of the options,
avoid writing anything to the drive as it might cause
further data corruption if there is anything left to
recover.

Thanks a lot for your hints. The UFS explorer can restore lost files. So
there is a hope for me.
