From: Audrey M. on 17 May 2010 03:58 I would like to know what is the difference between Contrast and Estimate statement. Because from what I understood if I want to compare the treatment groups then the both should give me the same exact results. No ? Thanks for your help.

Audrey, My understanding is that one of the primary differences is that the ESTIMATE statement provides the estimate (i.e. mean difference) in addition to the standard error and p-value, whereas the CONTRAST does not provide an actual estimate (i.e. mean difference).
