From: Arthur Tabachneck on 15 May 2010 20:24 The next meeting of the Toronto Area SAS Society (TASS) will be at 8:30am, Friday, March 5th, 2010. The meeting will be held at SAS Canada, 280 King Street East, 5th Floor, Toronto, Ontario. TASS has grown so much since it started in 1985 (our recent meetings have had between 200-300 attendees) that we are trying a new format this year: an all day meeting with the afternoon session devoted to Enterprise- guide and similar interfaces-related topics and a morning session devoted to everything else. Our March meeting was extremely successful using that format, thus we've decided to continue using it. The agendas for the two June 11th, 2010 sessions include: 'Classic TASS' Session 9:00am - 9:01am Words of Welcome - Art Tabachneck 9:01am - 9:10am SAS Global Forum Summary - Art Tabachneck 9:10am - 9:20am An update from SAS - Matt Malczewski 9:20am - 10:10am Creating Easily Reusable and Extensible Processes: Code That Thinks for Itself (Marje Fecht, Lisa Eckler and Faisal Dosani) 20 min break 10:30am - 10:50am Dynamic Use of Permutations of By-Group to Drive Generation of Data Steps (David Rosenfeld) 10:50am - 11:10am Automagically Copying and Pasting Variable Names (Art Tabachneck) 11:10am - 11:45am Breakout Sessions Featuring: Statistics, Reporting, Coder's Corner & Enterprise Guide 11:45am - noon Prize Draw (including explanation of new random selection method) and Closing Remarks (Art Tabachneck and Matt Malczewski) noon - 1.00pm Lunch (on your own) 'Interfaces TASS' Session 1:00pm - 1:01pm Words of Welcome (Craig McCulloch, CAMC Consulting) 1:01pm - 1:10pm SAS Global Forum Recap (Craig McCulloch, CAMC Consulting) 1:10pm - 1:50pm Exploring Enterprise Miner (Sylvain Tremblay, SAS Canada) 25 min break 2:15pm - 2:55pm Stored Processes (Debbie Weisensee, McMaster University) 2:55pm - 3:30pm Breakout Sessions Featuring: EG for Programmers, Enterprise Miner, Enterprise Guide: Reporting, & EG Statistics 3:30pm - 3:45pm Prize Draw and Closing Remarks (Craig McCulloch, CAMC Consulting and Matt Malczewski) You can register for either or both sessions at: http://www.torsas.ca/agenda.html I look forward to seeing/meeting you there, Art
