From: Jaime on 15 Feb 2010 23:23 What version of PP do you have on your system? Can you open the pptx file or is that where you are having trouble? -- Bart: "According to creationism, there were no cavemen." If you are using a version of PPT prior to 2007 you can't save a file as PPTX, only PPT and the conversion pack won't help as it is only a PPTX reader and does not miraculously make an earlier version into 2007 feature rich version. It does not matter to the receiver what version of PPT you save it into as PPT '07 can open all PPT file back to PPT '97 at least.

That not true, once you load the Compatibility Pack file(s), you can save your presentation as a .pptx. Choosing "Save As" in PP 2003 and scrolling down through the types will show all the 2007 formats at the bottom of the list. -- James Orlando (Goofy says "Hey"), Florida
From: John Wilson john AT technologytrish.co DOT on 16 Feb 2010 11:05 Yep, I was just about to type that! Obviously it doesn't give you all of the 2007 features but you can save in the XML formats. -- john ATSIGN PPTAlchemy.co.uk Free PPT Hints, Tips and Tutorials http://www.pptalchemy.co.uk/powerpoint_hints_and_tips_tutorials.html "Jaime" wrote: > > > "LVTravel" <none(a)nothere.com> wrote in message > news:#3PYyXxrKHA.4360(a)TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > > > > "dahl.matt" <dahlmatt(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > > news:23547F40-1B8F-403C-BCA8-4B4D8CECCCF3(a)microsoft.com... > >> how do i go about copying slides from a ppt to a pptx?
