Your description was accurate. This is just an ADSL modem. > It is not a router/firewall. I was absolutely wrong here. Your modem is a router. Below is a copy of email I just sent to you (modifying your "from" address in the most sensible way). ================================ Hi, This is Jeffrey Goldberg, one of the people who was giving you advice on comp.sys.mac.system. I'm emailing this because I don't know whether you are continuing to read comp.sys.mac.system. I gave you some very bad advice that needs correcting. I erroneously said that your Thompson Speedtouch ST516 v6 is a modem only and not a Firewall/Router. I was completely wrong about this. It is a full residential firewall and router. What this means is that you should ignore my advice to purchase an additional router. That would be a complete waste of money. If you've already bought it please return it and accept my apology for the bad advice. Sorry to have made such a blunder, one which may have led to a serious inconvenience for you.
