From: Reese on 16 Aug 2006 12:01 Ok, don't laugh, but... I set up an FTP server via DW (latest version). I can connect to it with no problems, I see the files on it and everything... but... er... how do I retrieve them locally? How do I download them? This is embarrassing. I tried everything. The best I could do is a right-click and an "open with..." but no "download" or "save as". Thanks.

From: Alan on 16 Aug 2006 12:07 Set the site up with the "FTP" option, not the "FTP/RDS" option. > How do I download them? This is embarrassing. I tried everything. The best I > could do is a right-click and an "open with..." but no "download" or "save > as".
From: Murray *ACE* on 16 Aug 2006 12:35 Actually the way you have set the site up, there is NO local. You are editing files directly on the server. Your best bet is to do what Alan recommends and do a new site definition as a Site, not as an FTP Site. -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Adobe Community Expert (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== http://www.dreamweavermx-templates.com - Template Triage! http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.dwfaq.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.macromedia.com/support/search/ - Macromedia (MM) Technotes ================== "Reese" <ms(a)spamfree.com> wrote in message news:ebvfhc$7dc$1(a)forums.macromedia.com... > Ok, don't laugh, but... > > I set up an FTP server via DW (latest version).
