Why not just use some alarm mini-app to pop up a note saying "get off
the Intartubes and do some work, bucko" and then follow its advice?

Because I'm weak.

(it's actually never work; usually it's either "do something more
emotionally rewarding, like reading a book" or "go to bed, it's too
bloody late to be looking at lolcats".

I do actually have a timer that does that. I keep ignoring it.

Aye, me too.

I've got a Charlie Stross, an A Lee Martinez, and a Jasper Fforde to
read - and here I am.
