From: Don Burn on 3 Oct 2009 10:00 Well the ones I know of are NT 3.1 DDK NT 3.5 DDK NT 3.5.1 DDK NT 4.0 DDK Windows 2000 DDK Windows XP DDK Windows Server 2003 DDK Windows Server 2003 SP1 DDK Windows Vista WDK Windows Server 2008 WDK Windows 7 WDK Of course this does not count the beta's or the IFS kits which did not alway exactly match the DDK's. -- Don Burn (MVP, Windows DKD) Windows Filesystem and Driver Consulting Website: http://www.windrvr.com Blog: http://msmvps.com/blogs/WinDrvr Remove StopSpam to reply "yushang" <yusunn(a)gmail.com> wrote in message news:49d91d02-7e5f-4fb2-814f-d6bdf4b367f9(a)r24g2000prf.googlegroups.com... > Hi , could somebody give an list of DDK versions ? From: Maxim S. Shatskih on 3 Oct 2009 11:01 > Thanks , but how to interpret the version number ? for example , DDK > 3790.1830 Ancient and obsolete Server 2003 SP1 DDK, dated around late 2005. IIRC the last released pre-Vista DDK. If you're a beginner, then use the latest (Win7 release) WDK. It has only 1 major drawback - w2k support dropped. If you need w2k support, then use the previous stable one - 6001.18002 (Vista SP1 WDK). -- Maxim S. Shatskih Windows DDK MVP maxim(a)storagecraft.com http://www.storagecraft.com
From: Don Burn on 3 Oct 2009 11:04 This is as close as I can get for versions. NT 3.1 DDK NT 3.5 DDK NT 3.5.1 DDK NT 4.0 DDK Windows 2000 DDK Windows XP DDK Windows Server 2003 DDK Build 3790 Windows Server 2003 SP1 DDK Build 3790.1830 Windows Vista WDK Build 6000 Windows Server 2008 WDK Build 6001.18000 Windows 7 WDK Build 7600.16385 Unless you have a project to maintain, you should be using the Windows 7 WDK unless you need a Windows 2000 build environment which you then need Windows Server 2008 WDK. -- Don Burn (MVP, Windows DKD) Windows Filesystem and Driver Consulting Website: http://www.windrvr.com Blog: http://msmvps.com/blogs/WinDrvr Remove StopSpam to reply __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 4478 (20091003) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com
