From: leew on 18 Jan 2010 04:26 I'm trying to setup a DFSR between 2003R2 and SBS 2008. I've had mixed results. I created the DFS connections and replication information and it immediately started to replicate. Then it stopped and hasn't moved in two days. I know it started to replicate because the top level folder structure from the source/primary server was created and a few (very few) files were copied as well. When I run the Diagnostic report on the 2003 system, I get this: This member is waiting for initial replication for replicated folder Company. Affected replicated folders: Company Description: This member is waiting for initial replication for replicated folder Company and is not currently participating in replication. This delay can occur because the member is waiting for the DFS Replication service to retrieve replication settings from Active Directory. After the member detects that it is part of replication group, the member will begin initial replication. Last occurred: Monday, January 18, 2010 at 4:13:07 AM (GMT-5:00) Suggested action: Replication will begin after initial replication is complete. If this state does not change, see The Microsoft Web Site. The event logs shows no errors, just an informational message that suggests everything should be fine: The DFS Replication service successfully established an inbound connection with partner SBS2008 for replication group mydomain.local\dfs\company. Additional Information: Connection Address Used: SBS2008.mydomain.local Connection ID: 06240D3A-C27B-4FAC-8323-CC74B43B748A Replication Group ID: 24A3CFF1-22D5-4517-AE3C-BC49790895E1

Additional information would be helpful. -- /kj

Namespace mode is: Domain (Windows 2000 Server mode) Shouldn't that be Windows 2003 R2 Server mode? Is there such a mode? Can I "upgrade" it? I don't recall seeing a setting for that when I created the DFS. Thanks.
