You'll have to review that documentation and may have to contact them to resolve the issue. With that said, a virtualization host OS should *just* be a host OS. The DynDNS updater should not be installed on the host OS at all. So put the updater on another PC or if you have the "OLD version that doesn't do this you can use that also. Tonight I had trouble resolving salesforce.com--no other domains just that one. Tried switching dns on my router from Verizon to opendns. No change. Eventually, I realized I'd set dns on my laptop to Google's DNS servers. Not anymore.... I want complete control (within the limits of my memory....) of my dns settings. OK - According to the install instructions, this is an option and is easily disabled: ------ Select whether you wish to enable Internet Guide, our free recursive DNS service which offers phishing and malware protection as well as customizable content filtering. (You may disable the service at any time by unchecking the "Enable Internet Guide" field on the Advanced tab of the update client.) ------ Aside from the somewhat misleading name, this doesn't seem to be too much of a barrier to using the client.
