From: PT on 18 Apr 2008 15:38 I have a love-hate relationship with this program. Nineteen times out of twenty, it annoys me by superposing inane commercial videos over web pages I'm trying to read. But the twentieth time I want to watch a specific video which I've selected. I've tried the nuclear option - uninstalling the program, then reinstalling it for the "twentieth" situations. But that's a royal pain. So I'm wondering if there's a way to simply prevent it from loading except when I want it. Please advise -- PT
From: Don Varnau on 18 Apr 2008 16:12 Hi, Assuming, since you posted to so many XP newsgroups, that the OS is XP... Try EMS Freesurfer Companion from http://www.emsproject.com/FS This program makes it fairly to disable/enable Flash. Hope this helps, Don [MS MVP- IE] "PT" <xyz(a)xyz.com> wrote in message news:eTjfQvYoIHA.3804(a)TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > I have a love-hate relationship with this program. For Internet Explorer, I recommend TurnFlash: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/tflash2.html

From: ju.c on 20 Apr 2008 06:39 And the best solution is . . . . . . IE7Pro http://www.ie7pro.com/ "IE7Pro is a must have add-on for Internet Explorer, which includes a lot of features and tweaks to make your IE friendlier, more useful, secure and customizable. IE7Pro includes Tabbed Browsing Management, Spell Check, Inline Search, Super Drag Drop, Crash Recovery, Proxy Switcher, Mouse Gesture, Tab History Browser, Web Accelerator, User Agent Switcher, Webpage Capturer, AD Blocker, Flash Block, Greasemonkey like User Scripts platform, User Plug-ins and many more power packed features. You can customize not just Internet Explorer, but even your favourite website according to your need and taste using IE7Pro." Check it out, it does it all. With Flash, if you select to "Turn off Flash" any Flash that appears has a "Show Flash" clickable link inside the Flash box. The best solution. ju.c "PT" <xyz(a)xyz.com> wrote in message news:eTjfQvYoIHA.3804(a)TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... >I have a love-hate relationship with this program.
