Newegg still lists WD, Samsung & Seagate IDE laptop drives, and I'm not
sure that Hitachi doesn't still make them.

Just found, to my surprise, a 320G IDE Hitachi here:

John, I too, thought I had found a Hitachi but it turned out that mine
was a Deskstar and not a laptop drive. Do you have a link to the
actual drive? I'd love to get a Hitachi.

Barry, I found Western Digital and Samsung on Newegg but not a
Seagate...at least not one with larger capacity. Can you point me at
the Seagate? Would you prefer Seagate or Western Digital?

I was not looking at size at all, I only wanted to see what brands of
2.5" IDE drives they were still offering. As to WD vs. Seagate ... no
particular preference.

Ron,

Sorry I gave you a false hope ... Nothing besides WD in 320G on this
site, and it is out of stock ...
