1. Device Manager
2. Task Manager

1. make a shortcut to C:\WINDOWS\system32devmgmt.msc

2. make a shortcut to C:\WINDOWS\system32\taskmgr.exe

If you set Task Manager to hide to the system tray and then make the
shortcut start as minimised you can put it in the Start>Programs>Startup
folder so that it is always sitting in the system tray as soon as you login.
