From: DaddyMan on 12 May 2010 22:23 Hi. I've got an Small Business Server 2003 running Windows Server 2003 SP2. The system recently had a drive failure with our RAID. Site: CN=Default-First-Site-Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=pittsfordcc,DC=local An attempt to complete the topology for this site will be tried again at the next scheduled KCC interval (the current default is 15 minutes). Additional Data Error value: 8409 A database error has occurred. Internal ID: f08051d -------------------------- Has anyone else experienced this? I can't seem to find a resolution on Microsoft's support site. Thanks! Hank

From: "Robbin Meng [MSFT]" on 14 May 2010 04:53 Hello Hank, Thanks for your post and Larry's input. Are you sure you have Windows Server 2003 SP2 installed for your SBS 2003 server and applied all of the latest updates? According to KB902396, this problem was first corrected in Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2. An "Event ID 467" database corruption error may be intermittently logged in the Directory Services event log on a Windows Server 2003-based domain controller http://support.microsoft.com/kb/902396 However, if the issue still exists, you may consider performing an offline defragmentation of the Active Directory database, then restart the DNS Service and run DCDiag and NetDiag command to see if there is any errors detected. Performing offline defragmentation of the Active Directory database http://support.microsoft.com/kb/232122 Hope this helps. Sincerely, Robbin Meng Microsoft Online Newsgroup Support
