From: Lassiter on 12 May 2010 21:07 We are running a SBS 2003 SP2 sever. We loose internet service after a week and need to reboot the server to get it back. Here are a few errors we are getting over and over. I am getting errors under the Event Viewer - System Log (soure is Service Control Manager) The IIS Admin Service service terminated with service-specific error 2149648394 (0x8021080A). Then a min. later I get Error: (source IIS Config) Error parsing XML file. Reason: An invalid character was found in text content. Incorrect XML: <> ErrorCode : 0xC00CE508 Interceptor : 14 OperationType : Populate Table : MBProperty ConfigurationSource : file:///C:/WINDOWS/system32/inetsrv/MetaBase.xml Row : 2 Column : 2 Any solutions to fix this?... is this a corrupted metabase file? Also there is an error under the Application Log: (source MSExchangeMU) Failed to access the metabase, error code is 80080005 (Server execution failed).

From: Lassiter on 16 May 2010 14:25 Ran it... getting an error that the server can't ping the default Gateway. I can ping that gateway IP from home and from the router itself but not on the server. We have a 2 NIC server setup. What would be blocking this? And would this cause the server to stop offering Web and internet access after 4-5 days of the server being up and successfully offering these services? From: Lassiter on 16 May 2010 19:18 Yes I ran BPA.... and the server is unable to ping the default Gateway IP. I can however ping the gateway IP from home and from the router that is on the server but just not from the server itself. Any reason for this to be blocked? Would this cause us to loose web and internet on the server and it's clients after 3-5 days running? We have a 2 NIC setup on the server.
