Netbook builds? Yes. Reduced memory? What for? The current netbooks all have more than enough memory to run even full grown DEs like Gnome or KDE with ease -- Law of Probable Dispersal: Whatever it is that hits the fan will not be evenly distributed.

I run mine with Gnome (SLE11, openSUSE 11.2 and 11.3 M3). I think there is a more optimized version of KDE4 out now for netbooks? Planning to install KDE4 when M4 comes out. -- Cheers Malcolm (Linux Counter #276890) SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 (x86_64) Kernel 2.6.27.45-0.1-default up 4 days 16:17, 4 users, load average: 0.17, 0.16, 0.12 GPU GeForce 8600 GTS Silent - CUDA Driver Version: 190.53

Some Atom systems devote some to the GPU.

There is plenty of RAM left -- 99% of lawyers give the rest a bad name.
