I installed dosemu on one of my boxes that will need it but I haven't fired it up yet. I'll go try and see what I get. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-REQUEST(a)lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact listmaster(a)lists.debian.org

I have been using it to play Microprose F1GP2 - vroom! Tried to use it to display ansi art files that span more than a screenful but it seems to lack the MORE command. There may be a way to script this .. does python run on top of dos..? but since I never used dos I'm not sure how to go about doing that. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-REQUEST(a)lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". I did so because if it turned out that there were people with any current experience, besides me, with such an old application, then I would be more specific. The last sentence was merely a summary of my experience to indicate the nature of any specific enquiries if I were to make them. From: Ken Heard on 19 Feb 2007 15:30 Since several people for various reasons mentioned Dosbox instead Dosemu, I will try the former first before trying to get the latter to work in an Etch box. When looking for a DOS "emulator" way back when I found that Dosemu met my needs; whereas Dosbox did not then. Perhaps Dosbox will do so now, as Dosemu is now an orphan project. For example, Dosbox is still an Etch package; whereas Dosemu has apparently been dropped. I will report back in due course.
