What kind of trouble are you having? I installed dosemu on one of my boxes
that will need it but I haven't fired it up yet. I'll go try and see what I
get.

Tried to use it to display ansi art files that span more than a
screenful but it seems to lack the MORE command. There may be a way to
script this .. does python run on top of dos..? but since I never used
dos I'm not sure how to go about doing that.

Mr. Johnson,

My original question was to find out whether there is anybody on the
list who still uses dosemu. I did so because if it turned out that
there were people with any current experience, besides me, with such an
old application, then I would be more specific. The last sentence was
merely a summary of my experience to indicate the nature of any specific
enquiries if I were to make them.

Since several people for various reasons mentioned Dosbox instead
Dosemu, I will try the former first before trying to get the latter to
work in an Etch box. When looking for a DOS "emulator" way back when I
found that Dosemu met my needs; whereas Dosbox did not then. Perhaps
Dosbox will do so now, as Dosemu is now an orphan project. For example,
Dosbox is still an Etch package; whereas Dosemu has apparently been
dropped. I will report back in due course.

Ken Heard
