From: Bob Fox on 1 Feb 2006 19:44 For starters... make sure the account that is running SMigrate has the permissions set properly to do this operation. Second..... make sure that when you do your migrate... you set up a site to migrate to but you stop short just before you pick a template to use... does that make sense? You extend your Server then instead of going directly to the site to add the Team Site for example you stop and run the SMigrate utility. You cannot have an existing site where you are trying to run the Migration. -- Bob Fox Web Site http://bobfox.net Subscribe to RSS Feed http://www.bobfox.net/SPNJ/RSSFEEDS/Forms/FoxFeeds.xml "LAL" <LAL(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:353FB7BC-E639-4A14-BD50-00038B152DE5(a)microsoft.com... > Hello, > > I've been having problems using SMIGRATE and would appreciate any help > that > could be provided. From: LAL on 2 Feb 2006 10:29 Bob, Thanks for your response. I have set the permissions properly. I think there's a misunderstanding...I'm using SMIGRATE right now to backup Team Services Sites. This is where the error is happening. I haven't even gotten to the step where I run smigrate for my WSS.
