From: Lyle on 5 Dec 2005 12:47 Volker, Sorry for the long delay. I hadn't noticed this was a reply to me. I checked into this issue, and it does not appear to be the same.. I do thank you for any information you have. Unfortunately I have to now get approval from my boss to call in and pay for support, since the problem has even gotten worse. Upon a clean bootup, the system will not log into windows. Once I enter my password at the log on screen, it flashes the loading settings window, then goes to a blank background and stays there. I can Manage the server from another workstation and all th workstations can log in and function (albeit slower than normal), and it seems that Event ID 2000 flood is starting a lot sooner now. What has changed since my last response is that I had started applying the Windows Small Business Server 2003 SP1. I had installed the Server 2003 SP1, Exchange Server 2003 SP1, Sharepoint SP1 and the Win XP SP2 Deployment. I have not been able to apply the last one; the SBS 2003 SP1, to complete the whole installation. I can boot to Safe mode no problem. I cannot get into normal mode. The whole Event ID 2000 problem is still the source of my problems, it has just progressed to being more active right away. Where it used to take a day or two or even 3 before it manifested itself, it is now doing it upon boot up. "Volker Ackermann" wrote: > Lyle, > I have the same error & symptoms. Lyle, It turned out I also did not have a printer redirect issue. SO -> Check your Event Viewer in the File Replication log. We had the error 13568, a problem with the SYSVOL, A JOURNAL_ERROR.... If you do have that error than follow the very detailed instructions in the event log. I also had logon issues - and all is fine after the fix. It makes sence since SYSVOL deals with logon. Hope that helps, Volker "Lyle" wrote: > Volker, > > Sorry for the long delay. I hadn't noticed this was a reply to me. I > checked into this issue, and it does not appear to be the same..
