HA.

What?

You use an Australian ISP. Use their email facilities. If they don't have
said facilities then you are using the wrong ISP.

<spit>aol</spiti>? Yeah, right. AOL, the cursed dog of the internet.

You'll need it with an aol email address.

If you want a real email address then spend a few tens of dollars a year to
buy yourself a real URL and use your OWN email address.

Which can be all you need.

More fool you when some like gmail work fine.

Nothing could be simpler. I did it a few months ago:

scp -r 198.162.0.49:mail .

Warren,

I registered with aussiemail when it first started about 9 years back &
whilst I still retain the email I really don't use it. Because I signed up
early I was able to get mail(a)aussiemail.com.au which I thought was a pretty
good email address. Around four years back they attempted to move towards
paid services so I just let it ride as I didn't need the service. However it
apparently didn't come off as it has remained free for those years & still
is. They updated the interface & it seems to be a good service as an
alternative free email service.

I have no idea why you had issues as I have never had any, I have the email
set to advise me via POP mail whenever a message arrives, surprisingly it's
relatively free of SPAM.

A dot ID dot AU domain $29.95 per 2 years. 5 address plus website
account with reputable australian web server company $40 per year. It
doesn't exactly break the bank and you have the e-mail address of your
choice.

Gmail and hotmail are good though for disposable addresses.
