From: aquams on 12 Mar 2010 10:10 I am missing my file icon upon opening WORD. I have tried everything and can't get it back. This makes it impossible for me to print to various printers without changing completely and impossible to save changed fiels as another file.....HELP!
From: Suzanne S. Barnhill on 12 Mar 2010 11:25 Well, you can certainly print using Ctrl+P, but it's easy to get the missing File menu back. Try these fixes (in order): 1. Open Tools | Customize. On the Toolbars tab, select Menu Bar and press Reset. 2. If that doesn't work, switch to the Commands tab and select Built-in Menus in the Categories list. In the Commands list, select the appropriate menu and drag it to the menu bar. 3. If that doesn't work (or the problem recurs on restarting Word), see http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/AppErrors/MissingMenusEtc.htm -- Suzanne S.
