From: MEB on 9 Dec 2009 12:48 Since this drifted away from the issue of a phone number to some old post supposedly for a fix, I still think this was the relevant issue for the group. I have to state, that on most occasions such as the Fast Browser Search and similar issues, DO NOT use the supposed numbers or contact the supposed party for a fix, and do not click on any pop up for a supposed fix. Use one of the known documented fixes and/or contact a TRUSTED source for help BEFORE you attempt the contact or supposed fix that might be provided as it may be malware, or it may be an attempt to force personal contact. -- MEB http://peoplescounsel.org/ref/windows-main.htm Windows Info, Diagnostics, Security, Networking http://peoplescounsel.org The "real world" of Law, Justice, and Government ___--- |
