It's all Micro$ofts fault who insist on localisation. I wouldn't care if the folders had all english names. There are versions of Office where you got even the VBA keywords localized! IIRC, it was with Office 95. I wouldn't complain if it still allowed the use of the english keywords, but no go. And the translations were bad... Even with todays Excel if I program Excel in VBA or VB6 and want to put a formula into a cell I have to use the english commands. But Excel itself expects that I enter the formula in German! With a german Excel if I enter in cell A4: =SUM(A1:A3) I'll get #NAME? and I must enter =SUMME(A1:A3) If I use VBA to write the Formula it's .Cells(4,1).Formula = "=SUM(A1:A3)" Did the guys at M$ think at all? <g> Helmut. |
