that's ok!

To have all your previous settings working on *x-palemoon* You need to
use Your *existing* profile!
To do this, please follows these intructions:
all personal data of *x-palemoon* are stored in a subfolder present in
*USER* path. This is present in Your x-palemoon path.
You need to copy there your previous original profile usually stored in
"C:\Documents and Settings\YourUsrName\Application
data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\"

copying these data in "x-palemmon\User\Firefox\Profiles\", You can have
your previous profile operative!

>> portable\Backups\Firefox\bookmark_backup_1/2/3 ..and.. H:\Program
>> Files\firefox palemoon portable\Backups\Firefox\password_backup_1/2/3

this is a backup area used to reach out your settings in case of crash.
But here You don't have your complete personal profile

a part of *USER* folder and his subfolders, at the moment, You can
forget them! ;-)

this is the biggest mistake ever done! If You don't use the
x-firefox.exe You run firefox (palemmon) with normal setting, reading
Your original profile from "Documents and settings path" and using the
data stored in the registry od Your PC.
So, it is NOT portable. if You change the host pc You loose all your
personal profile and You write on the host machine's registry.
